“I had the pleasure of staying at Caragh Lake House for a few days with four of my friends where we enjoyed the peace and quiet of this unique location and spacious accommodation. It really is stunningly beautiful by the lakeshore and we felt instantly relaxed. We enjoyed the outside seating area and garden in particular but the inside was also lovely with a well equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds. We stayed home in the evenings and enjoyed cooking, relaxing and watching the sunset. We enjoyed exploring the area too. The scenery is just amazing and the nearby hotel is a lovely place to visit for a drink. It was easy to find and yet felt like it was away from everything. Caragh Lake House is spectacular and even more beautiful than the photos capture. We had a fantastic family reunion and spent the week hiking amazing nearby trails, cooking, exploring local towns and restaurants. The location is superb, very secluded but near everything one would want to explore in Kerry, and the views to the lake are magical. The house is spotless and very well equipped. We loved spending time at the house on the lake and in the beautiful sauna (best view!) too. Ettienne and Annemarie were super responsive and helpful with suggestions and even left us a lovely welcome basket and some of his own veggies from his garden. Tucked away in a breathtaking natural setting next to Caragh lake, this home is a true sanctuary for anyone looking to relax, recharge, and soak in the beauty of the outdoors. From the moment we arrived, we were taken aback by the peaceful atmosphere and stunning views. The house sits right on the edge of a tranquil lake, with crystal-clear water and lush greenery all around. The home itself is thoughtfully designed, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable. Large windows throughout the house bring in tons of natural light and frame the lake beautifully, making every moment inside feel connected to nature. The interiors are warm, inviting, and perfectly balanced between rustic charm and modern comfort. Ettienne was super responsive, welcoming, and clearly passionate about sharing this little slice of paradise. Five stars for Caragh Lake House and Ettienne! Spectacular setting, well-appointed, spacious quarters, lovely decorated and unbeatable view! Ettienne was the most responsive and attentive host we have ever experienced with AirBNB, thoughtfully meeting us at his home for a personal tour, leaving us fresh goodies in the kitchen, and arranging dinner, golf and fishing reservations. He was a message away with any questions we had or guidance we needed. We noticed and appreciated all the special touches throughout his home. The Lake House is absolutely gorgeous. The views and serenity are everything you need to escape the everyday hustle and bustle. We stayed as a group of seven, and the house felt incredibly spacious. It’s beautifully furnished, and Ettienne has truly thought of every detail—even down to the little torches on the bedside lockers! The Lake House is all about comfort and outdoor living. Thanks to the massive windows, even when you’re indoors you feel seamlessly connected to the stunning landscape outside. Ettienne is an exceptionally attentive host—his generosity and care go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. Caragh Lake House and Ettienne and Annemarie’s attention far exceeded our expectations. The location is nothing short of stunning and the house itself ticked everyone's boxes. You could tell the House was purpose built with large groups in mind. It has everything you could possibly want from a holiday getaway. Hugh amount of space to comfortably fit our group of 11. The kayaks and paddle boards were a plus for our group and we used the lake everyday. The sauna was fantastic after having an invigorating swim in the lake. Ettienne's help with the smallest details were much appreciated by our group. He went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for a memorable stay.
