“I had the pleasure of staying at Caragh Lake House for a few days with four of my friends where we enjoyed the peace and quiet of this unique location and spacious accommodation. It really is stunningly beautiful by the lakeshore and we felt instantly relaxed. We enjoyed the outside seating area and garden in particular but the inside was also lovely with a well equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds. We stayed home in the evenings and enjoyed cooking, relaxing and watching the sunset. We enjoyed exploring the area too. The scenery is just amazing and the nearby hotel is a lovely place to visit for a drink. It was easy to find and yet felt like it was away from everything. From the moment we arrived, we were taken aback by the peaceful atmosphere and stunning views. The house sits right on the edge of a tranquil lake, with crystal-clear water and lush greenery all around. The home itself is thoughtfully designed, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable. Large windows throughout the house bring in tons of natural light and frame the lake beautifully, making every moment inside feel connected to nature. The interiors are warm, inviting, and perfectly balanced between rustic charm and modern comfort. Ettienne was super responsive, welcoming, and clearly passionate about sharing this little slice of paradise. Five stars for Caragh Lake House and Ettienne! Spectacular setting, well-appointed, spacious quarters, lovely decorated and unbeatable view! Ettienne was the most responsive and attentive host we have ever experienced with AirBNB, thoughtfully meeting us at his home for a personal tour, leaving us fresh goodies in the kitchen, and arranging dinner, golf and fishing reservations. He was a message away with any questions we had or guidance we needed. We noticed and appreciated all the special touches throughout his home. Don’t miss the hike within walking from the Lake House, unbelievably stunning views at the top! We hope to someday return to CLH. Sara Lay June 2025
